Summary
Eightcap holds licences from ASIC, the FCA and CySEC, all confirmed on the regulators’ registers, and serves clients elsewhere through companies licensed in Seychelles and The Bahamas, with a further company licensed in Mauritius in 2025. The group is privately held through an Australian parent. The only regulatory matter found is the remediation of self-reported breaches of Australia’s CFD leverage limits, overseen by ASIC in 2023.

Findings
Regulation & Licensing
72/100Eightcap’s core licences from ASIC, the FCA and CySEC were confirmed on the regulators’ registers or licensee data. Its client agreement for international clients is with a Seychelles company, and it also has companies registered or licensed in The Bahamas and Mauritius, outside the main retail protection regimes.
- StrengthEightcap Pty Ltd has held AFSL 391441 since 29 April 2011, and Eightcap Group Ltd has been authorised by the FCA since 23 December 2020 (FRN 921296) and may hold client money. Eightcap EU Ltd (formerly R Capital Solutions Ltd) holds CySEC licence 246/14, issued 30 July 2014.
- MediumEightcap’s international client agreement, dated March 2026, is with Eightcap International Ltd, which is on the Seychelles FSA’s list of securities dealers (licence SD100, as stated by the firm). Eightcap Global Limited is on the Securities Commission of The Bahamas register of firms as at 30 September 2026, and Eightcap International Trading has held an investment dealer licence from the FSC Mauritius since 7 October 2025.
- LowEightcap’s EU website gives Eightcap EU Ltd’s registered office as Aiolou & Panagioti Diomidous 9, Limassol; the CySEC register lists 157 Archiepiskopou Makariou III Avenue, Limassol.
- ObservationGLEIF lists a retired record for an Eightcap Global Limited registered in Port Vila, Vanuatu. Its licence history could not be confirmed at the Vanuatu regulator.
Corporate Structure & Ownership
70/100The group is privately held. The audited accounts of the UK company name its parent as Eightcap Group Pty Ltd of Australia, and Companies House records Joel Murphy and Joseph Jeffriess as each holding more than 25% but not more than 50% of it. Group accounts were not found in public sources.
- StrengthEightcap Group Ltd’s accounts for the period to 30 June 2025, audited by BKL Audit LLP, state that its immediate and ultimate parent is Eightcap Group Pty Ltd, incorporated in Australia, and that there is no ultimate controlling party. Companies House lists Joel Murphy and Joseph Jeffriess as persons with significant control.
- ObservationThe UK company’s accounts state that it depends on the support of its parent, which has confirmed its intention to provide it. No accounts were found for the Australian parent or the offshore companies.
Client Money & Payouts
72/100Clients of the UK company may be covered by the FSCS and clients of Eightcap EU Ltd by CySEC’s Investor Compensation Fund. Clients of the Australian and offshore companies have no compensation scheme, and the Seychelles client agreement allows client money to be commingled and treated as Eightcap’s legal property, while giving negative balance protection.
- StrengthThe FCA register states that Eightcap Group Ltd can hold client money and that its clients may be able to claim from the FSCS. Eightcap EU Ltd states that it is a member of the Investor Compensation Fund and that client funds are fully segregated from its own.
- MediumEightcap International Ltd’s client agreement states that client money is paid into a segregated account but “may be co-mingled with the money of other Eightcap clients” and “will be treated as the legal property of Eightcap”, subject to its obligation to return the equivalent, and that Eightcap keeps the interest earned. The same agreement gives clients negative balance protection. No compensation scheme applies.
- ObservationEightcap Group Ltd reported £5,682,825 owed to clients under title transfer collateral arrangements at 30 June 2025, which FCA rules allow only for clients other than retail clients. No regulator finding on client money was found.
Execution & Pricing
Not assessed in a desk audit. Spreads, slippage and fill quality can only be measured with live accounts.
Conduct & Disclosure
84/100No fine or sanction against an Eightcap company was found. In 2023 ASIC oversaw compensation paid by the Australian company after it self-reported breaches of the leverage limits for retail CFDs.
- LowIn November 2023 ASIC named Eightcap Pty Ltd as one of seven CFD issuers that self-reported issuing CFDs above the leverage limits in ASIC’s product intervention order and ran remediation programmes to compensate affected clients. ASIC described these as possible breaches; no penalty was imposed.
- ObservationSearches of CySEC’s board decisions, the FCA register, the Ontario Capital Markets Tribunal, Brazil’s CVM sanctions cases and the Seychelles FSA’s enforcement pages found no action against an Eightcap company. The FCA and the Bank of Russia list clone websites using the Eightcap name; these are not connected with the group.
Operational Resilience
Not assessed in a desk audit. Uptime, incident history and security controls require evidence from the firm or live monitoring.
People & Community
0/100No Great Place to Work certification and no community programme were found.
- ObservationNo Great Place to Work certification or community programme was found for Eightcap. Its sponsorships are commercial and are not counted.

Evidence and scope
Scope
Desk audit of the group’s client-facing entities, using public sources only: regulator registers and announcements, court and company filings, and the firm’s own published documents, as available on 10 October 2026. No accounts were opened, nothing was tested live, and the firm was not asked for evidence.
Limitations
Absence of a public enforcement record is not evidence of good conduct. Eightcap’s website redirected every regional page to its EU site from our location, so its global, UK and Australian disclosures could not be read; the international client agreement was read from Eightcap’s document server. We could not establish which countries are served by the Seychelles, Bahamas and Mauritius companies, and the Bahamas and Mauritius client terms, offshore leverage and any bonus offers were not reviewed. The licence history of the retired Vanuatu company could not be confirmed. Accounts for the Australian parent were not found. The share of clients served through the offshore companies could not be measured from public sources.
