Summary
Equiti’s FCA and CySEC companies serve professional clients only; its retail clients contract with companies licensed in Seychelles, Jordan and Kenya, and the global website is run by the Seychelles company, outside any compensation scheme and without negative balance protection. Its UK company’s audited accounts name the group’s controlling owner, and no regulator enforcement action was found in the last eight years, though the UK company is defending two civil claims linked to a former client.

Findings
Regulation & Licensing
46/100Licences from the FCA, CySEC, the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles, the UAE Capital Market Authority, the Jordan Securities Commission and Kenya’s Capital Markets Authority were confirmed on registers. The UK, Cyprus and Armenian companies serve professional clients only, so retail clients outside Jordan, Kenya and the UAE are served by the Seychelles company.
- HighThe global website at equiti.com is operated by Equiti Brokerage (Seychelles) Limited, listed as a securities dealer by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles (licence SD064, as stated by the firm). It sits outside the main retail protection regimes.
- MediumEquiti Capital UK Limited (FRN 528328) has been authorised by the FCA since 27 April 2011, and Equiti Global Markets Ltd has held CySEC licence 415/22 since 12 September 2022. Both state that their products are for professional clients and eligible counterparties only, so they do not serve retail clients.
- StrengthEquiti Group Limited (Jordan) appears on the Jordan Securities Commission’s list of companies licensed to deal in foreign exchange markets (list dated June 2022), and EGM Securities Limited, trading as FXPesa, is listed by Kenya’s Capital Markets Authority as a non-dealing online foreign exchange broker under licence 107.
- ObservationEquiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC is listed as active on the UAE Capital Market Authority’s register of licensed companies. We did not find which clients it serves. Equiti AM CJSC states that it is licensed by the Central Bank of Armenia (licence 0011) and serves professional clients only; we did not check the Armenian register.
Corporate Structure & Ownership
70/100The group is privately held and does not publish group accounts. The audited accounts of its UK company, filed at Companies House, name its Jersey parent and its ultimate controlling party.
- StrengthEquiti Capital UK Limited’s accounts for 2025, audited by Grant Thornton UK LLP and filed on 20 August 2026, state that it is wholly owned by Equiti Group Ltd, incorporated in Jersey, and that its ultimate controlling party is A R Waleed Al Bitar through his majority shareholding in Equiti Group Limited. Companies House lists Equiti Group Limited and Mr Abdulraouf Al Bitar as persons with significant control since 16 May 2017.
- ObservationNo accounts were found in public sources for the group as a whole or for the Seychelles, Jordan or UAE companies. GLEIF records Equiti Group Ltd as controlled by natural persons, without naming them.
Client Money & Payouts
45/100Retail clients contract with companies outside any compensation scheme. The Seychelles company’s terms say client money is held under Seychelles rules but may be passed to third parties, disclaim liability for their insolvency, and require clients to pay any negative balance.
- HighEquiti Brokerage (Seychelles) Limited’s client terms (April 2024) state that it treats client money in accordance with the FSA Regulations and may deposit it with banks inside or outside Seychelles or allow third parties such as brokers and clearing houses to hold it, and that it has no responsibility for their insolvency. No compensation scheme applies.
- MediumThe same terms state that clients can lose more than their initial deposit and must pay any negative balance that exceeds the amounts held in their account.
- ObservationEquiti Capital UK Limited’s audited accounts state that client money is placed in segregated trust accounts and reconciled daily, unless a client agrees to a title transfer collateral arrangement. The company serves professional clients only.
Execution & Pricing
Not assessed in a desk audit. Spreads, slippage and fill quality can only be measured with live accounts.
Conduct & Disclosure
86/100No regulator enforcement action was found in the last eight years. The UK company’s accounts disclose two civil claims, in Colorado and in England, connected with a former client; the company denies the allegations and is defending them.
- ObservationEquiti Capital UK Limited’s 2025 accounts state that in 2024 a derivative claim was filed in the District Court of Colorado against the company and Equiti AM CJSC, seeking recovery of sums deposited by a former client, Blue Isle Markets Inc, and that investors brought a related claim in the High Court in England. The company says it had no direct relationship with the investors, denies the allegations, and does not expect a trial before mid-2027. These are allegations, not findings.
- ObservationThe FCA register lists two clone firms that have used Equiti Capital UK’s details. These concern firms unconnected with the group and are not scored.
- ObservationThe Seychelles website advertises leverage of up to 1:2000 and a 100% welcome bonus on first deposits under terms effective from 28 September 2026. These are offered under Seychelles rules, so under our methodology they are recorded but not scored.
Operational Resilience
Not assessed in a desk audit. Uptime, incident history and security controls require evidence from the firm or live monitoring.
People & Community
0/100No Great Place to Work certification and no community programme with named initiatives were found.
- ObservationNo Great Place to Work certification was found in Great Place to Work’s public listings.
- ObservationThe UK company’s accounts refer in general terms to social engagement initiatives, without naming a programme. No community programme was found on Equiti’s websites.

Evidence and scope
Scope
Desk audit of the group’s client-facing entities, using public sources only: regulator registers and announcements, court and company filings, and the firm’s own published documents, as available on 10 October 2026. No accounts were opened, nothing was tested live, and the firm was not asked for evidence.
Limitations
Absence of a public enforcement record is not evidence of good conduct. The enforcement pages of the Jordan Securities Commission, the UAE Capital Market Authority and Kenya’s Capital Markets Authority were not searched directly, and the Armenian licence was not checked at the Central Bank of Armenia. The Jordan list we checked is dated June 2022. We did not find which clients the UAE company serves, and the client agreements of the Jordan, UAE and Kenya companies were not reviewed. The UK company’s accounts are a scanned filing, read page by page. The share of retail clients served through the Seychelles company could not be measured from public sources.
