Summary
FXTM’s clients are served by Exinity Limited, a Mauritius company also approved in South Africa, after the group renounced its Cyprus licence in 2024 and its UK company applied in June 2026 to cancel its FCA authorisation. Clients have no compensation scheme, and its terms make them liable for negative balances. We found no enforcement action in the last eight years.

Findings
Regulation & Licensing
40/100FXTM’s international site is run by Exinity Limited, which states it holds a Mauritius investment dealer licence and is approved by South Africa’s FSCA as an OTC derivative provider. CySEC withdrew the Cyprus licence at the firm’s own request in 2024, and the FCA register shows the UK company has applied to cancel its authorisation.
- MediumExinity Limited (Mauritius, company C119470) states that it holds Financial Services Commission of Mauritius investment dealer licence C113012295 and FSCA FSP 50320. The FSCA lists Exinity Limited as an approved OTC derivative provider. Its clients are served outside the main retail protection regimes.
- StrengthKenya’s Capital Markets Authority lists Exinity Capital East Africa Limited as a non-dealing online foreign exchange broker (licence 135).
- ObservationOn 20 May 2024 CySEC decided (announced 24 May 2024) to withdraw the Cyprus Investment Firm authorisation 185/12 of Forextime Ltd “due to the Company’s decision to expressly renounce it”. The register records the licence as a voluntary renunciation. A licence withdrawn at the firm’s own request is not a sanction under our methodology.
- ObservationExinity UK Ltd (FRN 777911), authorised since 1 February 2018, has had the status “Authorised, applied to cancel” since 9 June 2026. FXTM’s current footer no longer names the UK company, and Exinity Limited does not serve UK residents.
Corporate Structure & Ownership
68/100FXTM is part of the privately held Exinity Group. Companies House names Andrey Dashin as the person with significant control of the UK company, but the Mauritius company that serves clients reports to the global LEI system that it has no known owner, and the firm names none.
- StrengthCompanies House lists Andrey Dashin as a person with significant control of Exinity UK Ltd since 3 February 2017, holding 75% or more of the shares and with significant influence or control over the trustees of a trust.
- ObservationExinity Limited reports no parent company to the global LEI system, giving the reason “no known person”, and FXTM’s site names no owner or parent. No audited group accounts were found.
Client Money & Payouts
40/100Clients of Exinity Limited are outside any investor compensation scheme. Its terms state that client funds are segregated, but make clients liable for negative balances, and FXTM’s membership of the Financial Commission, a private dispute resolution body, ended in January 2024.
- MediumFXTM’s Terms of Business for the MetaTrader platform (13 August 2025) state that if a stop out leaves a negative balance, “the Client shall be liable for this loss and must make a payment of the full and total amount due immediately”.
- MediumThe Financial Commission announced on 6 February 2024 that FXTM’s membership had ceased following a voluntary withdrawal on 27 January 2024, so its clients are no longer eligible for the Commission’s compensation fund.
- ObservationExinity Limited’s client agreement states that client funds “will be at all times segregated from our funds” and will not form part of its assets on insolvency under Mauritius law, but that funds held with banks or counterparties outside Mauritius may not receive the same protection.
Execution & Pricing
Not assessed in a desk audit. Spreads, slippage and fill quality can only be measured with live accounts.
Conduct & Disclosure
88/100No enforcement action against an FXTM or Exinity company in the last eight years was found in CySEC’s decisions, the FCA register or the FSCA’s enforcement records. The withdrawal of the Cyprus licence was at the firm’s own request. Warnings in Russia and India and offshore incentives are recorded below but not scored.
- ObservationSince 1 February 2021 the Bank of Russia has listed “Exinity UK LTD (Forex Time)” and “FT Global Services Ltd (Forex Time)”, with forextime.com, as showing signs of an illegal professional securities market participant, and the Reserve Bank of India’s Alert List (updated 19 November 2025) names FXTM (www.forextime.com). Under our methodology regulator warnings are recorded but not scored.
- ObservationFXTM’s international site offers a welcome bonus matching 100% of a first deposit in trading credit, up to $500, and leverage of up to 1:5000. Under our methodology offshore incentives are recorded but not scored where lawful.
Operational Resilience
Not assessed in a desk audit. Uptime, incident history and security controls require evidence from the firm or live monitoring.
People & Community
0/100No Great Place to Work certification and no documented community programme were found in public sources.

Evidence and scope
Scope
Desk audit of the brand’s client-facing entities, using public sources only: regulator registers and announcements, enforcement records, company registries, the global LEI system, and the firm’s own published documents, as available on 10 October 2026. No accounts were opened, nothing was tested live, and the firm was not asked for evidence.
Limitations
Absence of a public enforcement record is not evidence of good conduct. The Mauritius licence, the South African FSP number and the UAE licence are taken from the firm’s disclosures; the FSC Mauritius register could not be reached and the FSCA’s FSP search could not be queried. We did not establish why Exinity UK Ltd applied to cancel its authorisation or whether it still has clients. The share of clients served by each company could not be measured from public sources.
