Summary
Olymp Trade is licensed only in Vanuatu, and its digital-asset accounts are run by a St Vincent company with no financial licence. Brazil’s CVM fined the company behind the platform R$680,000 in 2024 for offering securities to Brazilians without authorisation. The firm describes its private dispute-fund cover as insured deposits, which overstates what that fund pays.

Findings
Regulation & Licensing
30/100Olymp Trade’s services are provided by Aollikus Limited, licensed as a financial dealer in Vanuatu, and, for digital-asset accounts, by Saledo Global LLC of St Vincent and the Grenadines, which holds no financial licence. No client is served through a tier-one or tier-two regulated entity.
- MediumAollikus Limited (company 40131) is active on the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission’s financial dealers list, licensed on 6 January 2023. The register shows licence classes A, B and C; the certificate Olymp Trade publishes shows A and C.
- HighSaledo Global LLC is registered as a company in St Vincent and the Grenadines but holds no financial licence. The SVG Financial Services Authority states that forex brokerage is not licensed in St Vincent, and on 29 April 2026 stated that no entity is authorised there as a virtual asset service provider. Olymp Trade’s footer nevertheless says its companies are fully licensed to perform their activities.
Corporate Structure & Ownership
40/100Olymp Trade names the companies clients contract with but discloses no owner, parent company or directors. The contracting company has changed several times since 2017.
- MediumThe firm’s site and legal documents name no owner, parent company, directors or senior managers.
- ObservationBrazil’s CVM records the contracting company as Smartex International Ltd in 2018, then Saledo Global LLC from April 2020; Aollikus Limited was licensed in Vanuatu in 2023. Smartex and Inlustris Ltd, a further former operator, are recorded as liquidated on the SVG register.
Client Money & Payouts
40/100Clients have no statutory compensation scheme. Olymp Trade describes its Financial Commission cover as insured deposits of up to €20,000, but that fund pays only unpaid dispute rulings, does not cover insolvency, and excludes synthetic and digital-currency products.
- MediumOlymp Trade states that “deposits are insured up to €20,000” through the Financial Commission, a private dispute-resolution body. The Financial Commission states that its fund is used only when a member refuses to pay a ruling, does not apply to a member’s client base if the member becomes insolvent, and cannot be used for synthetic, non-market products or digital currency markets.
- ObservationOlymp Trade states that client funds are held in segregated accounts and that clients have negative balance protection. No regulator oversight of these arrangements was found.
Execution & Pricing
Not assessed in a desk audit. Spreads, slippage and fill quality can only be measured with live accounts.
Conduct & Disclosure
45/100Brazil’s CVM fined the company behind Olymp Trade in 2024 for offering and intermediating securities in Brazil without authorisation, after a stop order in 2019.
- HighOn 16 July 2024 the CVM unanimously fined Saledo Global LLC R$680,000 (R$255,000 for publicly offering securities to Brazilian residents without registration and R$425,000 for distributing and intermediating securities without being part of the distribution system). The company did not file a defence. Whether it appealed is not confirmed.
- MediumOn 5 February 2019 the CVM ordered Smartex International Ltd, also known as Olymp Trade, to stop offering binary options and other derivatives to Brazilian residents, and repeated its alert in 2022.
- ObservationThe CVM’s file records that in 2019 federal prosecutors and a federal court in Campinas asked for information on Smartex in connection with a criminal inquiry. Its outcome is not known.
- ObservationOlymp Trade has been named as unauthorised by regulators in India (RBI Alert List, since 2022), Malaysia (2018), Cyprus (CySEC warning, 28 August 2025) and Ukraine (2024). Under our methodology these warnings are recorded but not scored.
Operational Resilience
Not assessed in a desk audit. Uptime, incident history and security controls require evidence from the firm or live monitoring.
People & Community
30/100No Great Place to Work certification was found. Olymp Trade reports charity work with named partners, including HOPE worldwide Malaysia and the Lagos Food Bank Initiative in 2026 and Yayasan Usaha Mulia in Indonesia in 2025 and 2026.
- ObservationNo Great Place to Work certification was found in Great Place to Work’s public listings.
- ObservationCommunity contribution is reported by Olymp Trade itself; we found no independent reporting of amounts.

Evidence and scope
Scope
Desk audit of the brand’s client-facing entities, using public sources only: regulator registers and announcements, court and sanction records, and the firm’s own published documents, as available on 9 October 2026. No accounts were opened, nothing was tested live, and the firm was not asked for evidence.
Limitations
Absence of a public enforcement record is not evidence of good conduct. Whether the CVM fine was appealed or paid, and the outcome of the 2019 criminal inquiry in Brazil, could not be confirmed. The Malta payment agent named by the firm could not be checked, as the registry requires a login.
