Findings
Regulation & Licensing
70/100The FCA, ASIC, FSC Mauritius and Vanuatu licences were confirmed on the regulators’ own registers or licensee lists. Vantage states that its South African company is an FSCA-authorised financial services provider. Clients of the global website contract with VIG Group, an investment dealer licensed in Mauritius.
- StrengthVantage Global Prime LLP (FRN 590299) has been authorised by the FCA since 1 July 2013 and may hold client money. Vantage Global Prime Pty Ltd holds AFSL 428901, issued 21 December 2012, and is the product issuer for Australian clients.
- MediumThe global website at vantagemarkets.com is operated by VIG Group, licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius as an investment dealer since 8 September 2021. Vantage also publishes client documents for Vantage Global Limited, listed by Vanuatu’s VFSC as an active financial dealer. Both are outside the main retail protection regimes.
- LowVantage’s own documents give two different licence numbers for VIG Group: GB20026165 on the website and GB24203446 in the May 2026 client agreement. The FSC register does not show the number, so we could not tell which is correct.
- ObservationVantage Markets (Pty) Ltd is stated by Vantage to be an FSCA-authorised financial services provider (FSP 51268). This was not checked at the FSCA register.
- ObservationThe global website, operated by the Mauritius company, offers a deposit bonus that doubles a client’s first deposit. This is recorded but not scored.
Corporate Structure & Ownership
70/100The group is privately held and does not publish group accounts or its owners. Audited accounts of the UK company, filed at Companies House, name its parent and ultimate controlling party.
- StrengthVantage Global Prime LLP’s accounts for the year to 30 June 2025, audited by Buzzacott, state that its immediate parent is Ruby Victory Holdings Limited, incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, and that its ultimate controlling party is Jie Tang. Companies House lists Jie Tang and Reggie Yiyan Chen as persons with significant control from 12 July 2024.
- ObservationNo accounts were found in public sources for VIG Group, Vantage Global Limited or the group as a whole. GLEIF records VIG Group as owned by natural persons, without naming them.
Client Money & Payouts
72/100Clients of the UK company may be covered by the FSCS. Clients of VIG Group, Vantage Global Limited and the Australian and South African companies have no compensation scheme, and VIG Group’s client agreement gives it wide use of client funds and makes negative balance protection discretionary.
- StrengthThe FCA register states that Vantage Global Prime LLP can hold and control client money and that its clients may be able to claim from the FSCS if it fails.
- MediumVIG Group’s client agreement (May 2026) states that client money is paid into a segregated account but may be commingled, and that VIG Group may use funds in the segregated account for margining and settling its dealings with counterparties; it warns that client balances may not be protected if there is a default in those dealings.
- MediumUnder the same agreement, VIG Group may credit a negative balance caused by a market gap at its discretion, for private clients only, and not in abnormal market conditions. No compensation scheme applies to clients of the Mauritius, Vanuatu or South African companies.
- ObservationVantage states that VIG Group holds Excess of Loss insurance arranged through Willis Towers Watson, covering up to USD 1 million per eligible claimant and USD 50 million in aggregate, subject to policy terms. We did not see the policy; it is a private arrangement, not a compensation scheme.
Execution & Pricing
Not assessed in a desk audit. Spreads, slippage and fill quality can only be measured with live accounts.
Conduct & Disclosure
62/100In July 2021 the Ontario Securities Commission approved a settlement under which two Vantage companies paid a penalty and disgorged USD 3 million for unregistered trading with Ontario residents. A 2018 enforceable undertaking with ASIC is older than eight years and is recorded but not scored.
- MediumOn 14 July 2021 the Ontario Securities Commission approved a settlement with Vantage Global Prime Pty Ltd and Vantage International Group Ltd, in which they agreed that from January 2014 to September 2020 they had engaged in unregistered trading and made distributions that did not comply with Ontario securities law, by opening and operating about 2,700 CFD trading accounts for Ontario residents. They paid an administrative penalty of CAD 600,000, disgorged the Canadian dollar equivalent of USD 3 million and paid CAD 10,000 in costs.
- ObservationOn 25 June 2018 ASIC announced that it had accepted a court enforceable undertaking from Vantage Global Prime Pty Limited, after identifying concerns that it lacked adequate systems and controls to prevent employees using confidential client trading information for their own benefit. A senior employee had used client trading information for personal trades; ASIC found no evidence that clients suffered loss. Vantage agreed to an independent expert review, staff training and a $95,000 community benefit payment. The undertaking is more than eight years old, so it is recorded here but not scored.
- ObservationThe Reserve Bank of India’s Alert List (updated 19 November 2025) names Vantage Markets among entities not authorised to deal in forex in India. Such lists name many licensed groups and are not scored.
Operational Resilience
Not assessed in a desk audit. Uptime, incident history and security controls require evidence from the firm or live monitoring.
People & Community
30/100No Great Place to Work certification was found. Vantage reports a community programme with named initiatives: a USD 100,000 donation to UNHCR’s Supporting Refugees in Australia programme, a partnership with UNESCO on education, and a financial education partnership with Stamford International University in Thailand.
- ObservationNo Great Place to Work certification was found in Great Place to Work’s public listings.
- ObservationCommunity work is reported by Vantage itself, which says its ESG programme was launched in July 2022; we found no independent reporting. Its Scuderia Ferrari HP partnership is a commercial sponsorship and is not counted.

Evidence and scope
Scope
Desk audit of the group’s client-facing entities, using public sources only: regulator registers and announcements, court and company filings, and the firm’s own published documents, as available on 10 October 2026. No accounts were opened, nothing was tested live, and the firm was not asked for evidence.
Limitations
Absence of a public enforcement record is not evidence of good conduct. We searched ASIC’s published media releases and found no civil penalty proceedings against a Vantage company; Federal Court files were not searched directly. The FSCA licence of Vantage Markets (Pty) Ltd is taken from the firm’s disclosures, and the status of Vantage International Group Limited, named in the UK company’s accounts as a company under common control, could not be checked at the Cayman Islands register. The Australian product disclosure statement and the Vanuatu client agreement could not be downloaded. The share of clients served through the offshore entities could not be measured from public sources.
