Kraken has been selected as a US launch partner for X Cashtags: tapping a supported ticker on X now shows a Trade button that routes to Kraken.

We’ve been selected as an official launch partner for X Cashtags in the US. Starting today, when someone on X taps a supported ticker, they can hit “Trade” and go straight to us to complete the trade.

Cashtags turn ticker symbols for stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies into interactive destinations, giving X users real-time access to market conversation and financial information. Now, X Cashtag partners give users a seamless path from discovering a ticker and following the conversation on X to taking action with a brokerage.

Here’s how it works:

  • Find an asset: You see a post about a token and tap the cashtag.
  • Explore on X: X shows you the posts and the price chart.
  • Choose Kraken: Tap through to Kraken’s mobile app or web experience, and log in to an existing account or sign up for a new one.
  • Make a trade: Complete the transaction directly on Kraken.

Why closing this gap matters

“People are already interested in crypto. The problem is how many steps it takes to go from hearing about an asset to owning it,” said Kamo Asatryan, Chief Data Officer of Payward and Global Head of Consumer at Kraken. “Too many people give up along the way. With Cashtags on X, we’re making it possible to go from interest to ownership in just a few clicks.”

Today marks the official US launch of X Cashtag partners, and X hand-selected the platforms taking part.

We’ll support cashtags across nearly 2,500 assets, spanning both our centralized exchange and our decentralized exchange offering.
