Evidence and scope
Scope
Desk audit of the group’s client-facing entities, using public sources only: regulator registers and announcements, court and stock-exchange filings, and the firm’s own published documents, as available on 10 October 2026. No accounts were opened, nothing was tested live, and the firm was not asked for evidence.
Limitations
Absence of a public enforcement record is not evidence of good conduct. The CIRO, SFC, Japanese FSA and SEBI registers were not queried, so the Canadian, Hong Kong, Japanese and Indian licences are taken from the firm’s disclosures, and enforcement by those regulators was checked only through web searches. NFA’s BASIC database could not be queried; NFA matters are taken from NFA’s news release and FINRA BrokerCheck. The annual reports for 2020 to 2022 disclosed a US Department of Justice inquiry into the anti-money-laundering matters; later reports do not mention it and its outcome was not found. We did not find a negative balance protection statement on the firm’s pages. Interactive Brokers Central Europe Zrt. (Hungary) appears in the annual reports for 2020 to 2023 but not in later reports; its current status was not established.
